My beeswax is always 100% pure rendered. Some beeswax candle makers mix paraffin wax to maximize profits. That defeats the purpose of natural. Make sure to trim your wick to 1/4 inch at the beginning and every new lighting so the wick doesn't burn out of control and smoke. Any candle can smoke if the wick is left in a draft or the wick is too large. Let the candle burn for 2 - 4 hours the first time with pillars to make sure it burns to the edge or else you will encounter tunneling. If that occurs, simply push the wax towards the center when it's warm enough.
